Welcome to France… where the boss get detained
Recent crisis has aggravated many things and resulted in plants closure and lay offs. However , it has come to our attention that in france, french workers and union apparently ‘prevented’ their boss from leaving the negotiation grounds. So as to extract concession and favourable terms.
It is agreeable that it’s fair for workers to negotiate a more favourable terms for their severance package. Afterall , with such bleak outlooks , getting another soon after may prove to be not easy. However, ‘preventing boss from leaving’ is hardly civil and legal……and abit militant. hmm… what do you all think? Furthmore such drastic acts maybe signs of desperation in such desperate times.
French President has come out against such practice and instructed the police to act against such workers. Given the powder keg conditions, it is wise not to be harsh on these workers as long as no one is hurt.
